How to Make Guacamole

Guacamole

Guacamole is so simple to make and great with chips or adding it to your taco or burrito. It’s made with ripe avocados, tomatoes, cilantro, lime and salt and pepper to taste. It’s a great appetizer to make when you have guests over or binge watching your favorite Netflix show.

I made this with my daughter in hopes that she would want to try something she helped me make but nope. My toddler turns her head away to anything that’s green but it was worth a shot. She was still my little helper and she enjoyed adding in the ingredients and mixing them.

You can make it spicy by adding a diced jalapeno or serrano but since I was hoping my toddler would try some we opted out of it. Sometimes I don’t add in tomatoes just depending if I want them that day or not. So feel free to adjust the recipe to your liking.

You can make this for any gathering or when Cinco de Mayo comes this is a dish that better make it to your table!

What is Guacamole?

Guacamole is an avocado-based dip or spread that was first developed in Mexico. In addition to its use in Mexican cuisine, it has become part of international cuisine as a dip, condiment and salad ingredient.

# Tips

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled!

Make sure you are using ripe avocados! They taste better and easier to mash when they are ripe.

If you want your guacamole to be spicy just dice up a jalapeno or serrano and add it right in! I love when I have spicy guac but when I made this with my toddler we opted out of it.
