- 1 large pineapple peeled, cored, and chopped
- 4 ½ cups water divided
- ¼ cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
- Optional: a few ice cubes and lime juice for serving
Place a fine-mesh strainer over a large pitcher and pour the blended pineapple through it. Use a spoon to press the pulp and extract as much juice as possible.
Add the remaining 1 ½ cups of water and the sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness as desired.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill. Serve over ice and garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge or a sprig of mint for a pretty touch.
