Cuisine Mexican
- 1 ½ oz of Tequila
- ½ oz Cointreau
- 1 oz Spicy Simple Syrup
- 1 oz Lime juice
- Ice
- Tajin to rim the glass
- Lime Wedge garnish
For the Spicy Simple Syrup
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 5 serranos sliced
First let’s make the spicy simple syrup. Add all ingredients to a small pot and heat on medium high heat until all the sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat and let it steep for 10 minutes.
After 10 mins remove the chilis with a slotted spoon and pour the simple syrup into a glass jar or bottle and allow to cool completely. Keep refrigerated after use.
On a small plate, add some tajin and set aside.
Grab your glass and with a lime wedge run the lime around the rim of the glass then dip the rim into the tajin. Set aside while you make the drink.
In a cocktail shaker add in ice, tequila, grand, spicy simple syrup and lime juice. Shake vigorously for 5-7 seconds.
Add ice to the prepared glass and using a strainer pour the drink into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Cheers my friend!
